DOMAINE REWA
Domaine Rewa is a small 5.5 hectare vineyard located on the fluvial terraces nestled in the foothills of the Pisa Range. Although the property was planted in 1997, 2001 was Domaine Rewas first vintage. Wanting to make the most of this special plot of land Philippa Fourbet works with Grant Rolston, Gary Ford and winemaker Pete Bartle. Pete believes the best wines are produced in the vineyard so has a minimal interventionist approach. Otherwise the remit is simply to produce refined wines inspired by the elegance of Burgundy yet true to the local terroir. The wines produced all come from solely the Domaine being a Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. To ensure the Domaine is the best possible custodian of the land biodynamic practises are deployed and now also almost exclusively in the winery.Current production is currently 2300 (6) cases a year.
